ICED CREAM

May 2
The mother of the bride has arrived in Bega!  Lisa took her mom and Ron (step father) to Merimbula to show them around, then she brought them to Windsong for a tour of the land, and we cooked a spectacular dinner for everyone.  Smoked Australian Salmon, fried potatoes and yams, salad, brocoli and we forgot about the carrots! Ooops, our bad!  However, Arild made some wicked homemade ice cream this morning and that was the best thing in the world!!!!! Served with Bananas and chocolate sauce.  I was so excited I even decided to take a picture.  It was long day of work, cleaning and moving things.  I hope the first impression was good!! haha

BUSH DANCING

May 1
Sailing BBQ.  Lisa and I took the small Pacer boat out for another spin.  The wind was maybe 5 knots - 10 knots, we worked on our communication and sail trim skills.  It was a good session surrounded with forest smoke, at one point I remember looking back at the boat house and we weren't sure which direction to go into.  The smoke from the parks doing controlled burns was sooooo thick.  We eventually went back into shore for the award ceremony and BBQ meal, Lisa received her shackle key.  Sven and Lisa took the wind-rush catamaran out for a spin while I kept reading the book "The Necklace".  It's good. We rushed back to the house... showered all the salt water out of our hair,   then we were off to the Kameruka Hall, for an Australian Bush Dance... takes place the first Saturday of each month.  An awesome community event.  I had an awesome time laughing and learning about the 'promenade dance' and 'the waltz'.  Sven was playing in the orchestra while we were dancing like silly girls.

DREAMS

April 30
Or should I say nightmares.  I woke up with memories that I had this horrible dream... all of us in the wedding party arrived at the wedding and none of the guests showed… so we had to postpone the date and then on our way out an earthquake took place.  Lets just say… the pressure has started to build.  I'm so thankful this is NOT my wedding… I’m just the bridesmaid and I’m having feelings of stress already.  Please, for all those of you reading the blog... remind me to never say ‘I do’ at any point soon.  Still working on the house, the garden and so much more!  Take a look at the progress...

SQUEEGEE GIRLS AT YOUR SERVICE

April 29
Began the day with some good window cleaning at Windsong.  They look sparkling clean, I almost walked into one of the glass doors… that could have ended really bad.  Enough of the squeegee, three o’clock in the afternoon came creeping up on us and we had to go into town.  Find some lovely white ribbon and superglue for the homemade veil were currently working on.  Then we had to meet with Rebecca (Sven’s older sister) to see one of the big holiday units at FishPen.  It’s a large unit overlooking the bay and I think it will be just perfect for Lisa’s family.  Then we went for a promenade to Munn’s Tower, the only wedding location I haven’t seen yet.  It beyond cool.  Munn’s Tower is one of the oldest historic properties in Merimbula.  Take a look at the website.  We came back at dark and ate some ocean fish for dinner/had a fire outside and spent time under stars.
